It is important to remember that this is not a return to normal operations or Club activities. Most importantly, the Clubhouse and premises will remain closed to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus.
What does this mean if you want to sail on the river?
you must observe social distancing rules, while on the water, launching and car parking
remember that there are no toilet, washing, refreshment or changing facilities
you are responsible for your own safety, so make sure you are equipped for the conditions
don’t use the Clubhouse or premises. If you want access to the Mate’s Store, you must arrange this beforehand with the Commodore, Steve Axford
These arrangements are obviously subject to change and will be updated by the Committee as and when necessary.
On the social side, here are a few dates for you diary:
On Saturday 6th June, from 7.30pm until 9pm, there will be a Midsummer Social using “Zoom”, with an illustrated presentation by Ian Purkis on “The voyage of “Eowyn”, Philip David’s Cornish Crabber, from Cornwall to Scotland in 2019”. The Zoom link will be provided nearer the time.
If you need advice on how to set up “Zoom” or how to use it, please get in touch and we will try to help.
Finally, we have started using a Mailing List manager called MailChimp, so these emails might look a bit different. Hopefully, you should be able to view them on whatever device you use. If not, please get in touch.
Stay Safe and Keep well
