Welcome to Yorkshire Ouse Sailing Club

The Water is here for Everyone.

The club is centered around competitive club dinghy racing and training with a history dating all the way back to 1938. Our unique location gives us access to the River Ouse which is arguably a better experience than sailing on the sea or a lake, and is ultimately more rewarding. We welcome people of all ages* and abilities** to get involved and also have a number of rowers, paddle-borders and canoeists who use our slipway and facilities.

Learn to Sail in a friendly safe environment.
Improve your sailing with the Junior and Beginners events.
Extended cruises along the river.
Fantastic river views for spectators.
Progress to Trophy Races and enjoy the social side of the club.

About Us Training

* minimum age restrictions apply to RYA courses, please contact us for details. ** we do not have specialist accessibility equipment and our location has steep river banks, rising river levels and a flowing river. Other RYA training centers and clubs specialize in accessibility and may be able to support specific needs better.
